COLLEGE DAY
Recently, I visited UC Irvine for college day. Before I visited, I was really interested in their arts program. That and their dining situation really drew me in.
The environment and open feel of the campus stood out to me, as I am not used to college campuses. Surprisingly, I also loved how large it was. I've really only known High Tech, and its small structure is what I am used to. While I was there, I learned a little bit about college culture. I learned how UC Irvine got its mascot, and how everything was started.
I'm very appreciative of my trip to UC Irvine, as I found out a little bit more of what I want to do and what I want in a college. I loved their arts program especially. Our tour guide was in the drama department and talked about some great stuff in the program. I also extremely loved the on campus shopping and food center. IT was almost magical walking through it. I didn't have very many expectations going in, so I wasn't really looking out for things, but I wish I would've taken a more in depth tour of the area, as it seemed very interesting. Overall, it was a great college, and it might be a good contender.
